BIODYNAMIC CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY
With Elmer Postle
Recovery, Rest and the Support of Health
This is a gentle but powerful holistic treatment, originating in Osteopathy and now a unique modality in its own right. In this therapy it is held that health is always present in the human system and is expressed as a rhythmic motion in the body known as primary respiration. This expression of health can become obstructed and diverted through life experience and conditions, putting strain on the ability to remain in healthy balance. In Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy the therapist invites and supports the client’s body physiology to orient to primary health, releasing and renewing the ways health can express itself.
What is it for?
Any physical, mental or emotional condition can be addressed. Because Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is working with the intrinsic health of the system, conditions as diverse as back pain, IBS, panic attacks, depression, stress, sore joints, shock and trauma, headaches, whiplash injury and neuralgia commonly respond well to treatment.
NB: Science thus far has done little research to support understanding of the efficacy of Craniosacral Therapy.
Who is it for?
Biodynamic Craniosacral work is suitable for all age groups, including the elderly, newborns and pregnant women. Clients frequently report how gentle the treatment is and how they have made a big change in their health through experiencing the work.
“I have recovered from an allergy that I have suffered from for 15 years, without medication, further operations or hospitalisation. I couldn’t recommend a better practitioner or therapy for a gentle path to recovery and overall health.” – Sarah W.
“It feels so good to just let go, stop and rest. I never get to really do that, cut off from everything and just rest. During this session, it plunged me into a deep deep sleep. Gorgeous!” – Michelle H.

What does a treatment look like?
Treatment involves the client lying on the couch fully clothed. The therapist applies a gentle, non-invasive touch to the body, often, but not exclusively at the head and sacrum. The treatment is usually accompanied by a deep sense of relaxation for the patient. Sessions are fifty minutes long and include a short verbal consultation at the start and end.
